Celebration for the Nations Vision
Celebration for the Nations is an international worship intercession for revival in Wales and the nations.
Each summer we gather from the nations to worship the Lord and cry out for Him to move again in our time.
Wales is known as the land of revivals, but there has not been a significant one since 1904. That revival had a powerful effect, not just in Wales, but across many nations;
'The Welsh Revival...affected the whole Evangelical cause in India, Korea and China, renewed revival in Japan and South Africa, and sent waves of awakening over Africa, Latin America and the South Seas.' (J. Edwin Orr. 1975)
Just ten years after the outbreak of Revival, the First World War started. Many revived nations found themselves at war with each other. Satan had managed to block up the wells, much as the Philistines did in Isaac’s time.
In 2004, the centenary year of the Welsh Revival, Gail Dixon had a vision;
‘I saw sparkling water the colour of sapphire, it had light within itself. I tried to touch it, but something clear as crystal blocked my hand. I looked up and saw people from many other nations also trying to reach the water. None of us could. We cried out to the Lord, and I heard Him say,
'It is impossible from your side, but if you sing, the water will rise up and break out.'
At the same time this scripture came into my heart:
‘the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.” Then Israel sang this song:
“Spring up, O well!—Sing to it!’ (Numbers 21:16-17).
So we gather worshippers from around the world, and particularly from the nations blessed by the Welsh revival back to Wales to sing and unblock the ancient wells.
We are calling to believers from the four winds. Come and breathe on these slain. The prayers and faith of many who lie on the killing fields of Europe, and in the divided land of Korea have not died. They are awaiting people of faith to pick them up and run with them.
Come and sing to the wells that our fathers dug. We gather in obedience to the Lord, that as we sing, the water will spring up again in our generation.
Celebration for the Nations is hosted by Nations Trust, Revival Korea, World Horizons, alongside many local churches and other organisations.
