Celebration for the Nations

June Update 2007

Greetings to you all from Wales! I was reading Ezekiel 47 this morning, about the water that flows from the Temple, and began to get really excited as I saw its direction. It flows through the Arabah, the most arid place in Israel, and then goes into the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, and its water is the most contaminated and salty in the world. The River not only made it fresh ('healed' in the original Hebrew) but it filled the sea with life!

I felt the Lord whisper to me that he is able to save the people who are at their lowest ebb, those without hope, even suicidal, as we take our songs onto the streets and let the water flow from our inmost beings. He will also heal the contaminated, the ones who are held by the deathlike grip of sin.

We don't need to wait for the Celebration to get out into the streets in worship, let's do it now! The Celebration will be a coming together of those with the same heart and the same streams of life flowing through them.

Prayer and Worship Week
Our local prayer and worship week here in Llanelli was very encouraging. We met in a different church in the town each night, some of the churches had not been so full for many years. Congregations were encouraged as our heart was to bless and pray for each church. Every minister was enthused about the Celebration, and in fact some of the churches gave gifts towards it. In one church, Antioch, we were told that in 1998 they had a powerful time of prayer and worship in a special meeting for Wales, and the Lord gave them Numbers 21:17, 'spring up O well'! The sense of the Lord's presence was very strong at that time, and they were very expectant. However, the pastor said that she now believes that what happened those years ago was a preparation for Celebration for the Nations.

On Friday and Saturday we took our worship out into the local area. Both times were very encouraging. As a result one unsaved family went to a church in town for the first time, and another four girls said they were interested in a Christian Youth Group. Many people had excellent conversations, and gave out the 'Why Jesus?' booklets linked with the Alpha course. The local residents' committee have invited the worship band back to do a day event. This is a non-Christian committee happily embracing a Christian group. The committee's aim is for radical change in the community, so that kids come off drugs, families are reconciled, and there is a unity and working together. Amen! We know the one who has the answer to their hearts desires.

Finance
Praise the Lord for the beginning of a breakthrough. Finance has started to come in again, with more than £2000 in the last week. We can pay bills due on 20th June! Please continue to stand with us for everything to be covered.

More wells to spring up!
It is amazing how many people are receiving the same word that the water will spring up as we sing. I have heard in the last week of a church in London and a prayer group in Dublin, each receiving the same word. As they later heard about the Celebration it was confirmed to them.

Korea Challenge
250 have registered in Korea to come to the Celebration, but at least 50 of them have not yet been able to pay the money needed for the airfare. Please stand with these young people that if the Lord is calling them to come, they would find the faith that will be the substance of the finance.

We have been told there are also others that want to come who have not yet registered.
Flights from Korea at the time of the Celebration are almost fully booked. Pray that one Airline decides to run another plane and that they will be rewarded for doing so!

Worship Leaders
Please pray for this key group of people. They will be coming from different corners of the globe, and yet will need to flow together as soon as they meet.

Sadly we have recently heard from the worship leader from Israel who we were hoping could come, and he is not able to join us.

Worship according to scripture is the offering of our bodies as living sacrifices. Let's prepare for the Celebration by devoting ourselves to the Lord, spirit, soul and body. It is only as we in the Church shows our willingness to follow the Lord, even to the laying down of our lives, that the world will see the reality of the love of Jesus.

Radio
I have the opportunity to speak on UCB (United Christian Broadcasters) in the UK next Thursday, 21st June. There is possibly of another radio station in the same area being interested too.

British and American Koreans
Koreans based in the UK and USA have begun to book in. Fantastic! The Koreans as a whole are really embracing the Celebration. Do pray that other Europeans, Africans, Americans etc. catch the vision.

Visas
Worshippers from Mizoram and some African nations are in the process of getting visas at the moment. Ask the Lord to open doors!

Thanks
It has been so amazing to hear from some of you in different parts of the world saying that you are praying for us, some daily. We are aware of the prayer and the Lord's help. There are so many details to sort out, so many challenges to overcome, but we are lifted by joy due to your help. We are now coming to an end of a week of fasting (running the same period as the Celebration will last), and we know some of you have joined us in that. We are feeling confident that the Lord of miracles is working for us, even in some hidden ways that we cannot yet see.

Please do remember to hold the Revival Korea team in your prayers too, as they are co-coordinating those coming from Korea, and trying to find non-existent flights etc.

Yours in the Lord of the Breakout!

Gail and the Celebration Team.
