Celebration for the Nations
Update May 2007
'How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Thy countenance' (Psalm 89:15)
Joyful sound in this psalm is 't'ruw'ah' in Hebrew. It is the same word that is used elsewhere for Jubilee. When I was in Korea recently, we were singing 'These are the days of Elijah', and in my spirit I could 'hear' a trumpet sounding in the distance. I felt the Lord say to me that this is the year of Jubilee.
We have been living in Jubilee since the time when Jesus proclaimed the year of his favour at the beginning of his ministry. However, so often we do not access what is available to us. The Lord in his mercy brings about special seasons, when He emphasises his provision. I feel that this is one of those seasons.
The same night I had 'heard' the trumpet, there was a knock on my door at gone midnight. A lady who hadn't been at the meeting, felt that she had a prayer that she needed to pray over me. She told me she could hear the sound of a trumpet, and that this is the year of Jubilee!
In the next meeting back in Wales, when I was sharing this, Elaine, one of those praying for the Celebration, felt the Lord had told her to bring a shofar to the meeting. She had never done this before. When she blew it, people broke into spontaneous prayer and praise.
The Lord is making a joyful sound in the heavenly realms, because he knows what he is going to do. Jubilee is all to do with slaves being set free, debts being forgiven, inheritance being restored. He is waiting for us to 't'ruw'ah' on earth, so it will be on earth as it is in heaven. This is the Celebration!
Germany
Thanks so much for joining us in focusing prayer on Germany last month. The Lord has linked us with several key people in Germany now, including a Welsh couple! One real joy was to hear from the worship leader of 'The Father's House' in Berlin. The Lord had given him a song based on Numbers 21:17, 'Spring up O well' eight years ago. I asked him to record the song and send it to us so that we could put it on the website. Below is his reply:
'I just wanted to let you know that the HOLY SPIRIT increased our prayer for Celebration and I shared the vision with my church. God used the whole thing already for us as a blessing. Because in the attempt to record my song, every time I sang it, we had a great HOLY GHOST MOVE. So the LAST three meetings we have always been singing the song "Spring up Oh Well, Well of the LORD!"
It seems as if the LORD really is saying through this: NOW is the TIME! For the well to spring up. NOW is the TIME to sing to the well and experience it flooding over us. I am now sending out some emails to inform brothers in the country about the Celebration.
SHALOM, Christian
Christian's wife is due to give birth on 4th August, (another breakout!) so he will come for the first few days of the Celebration, but his team will stay for the whole thing.
24/7 Prayer and Worship Watch
If you visit our website you will notice that we have launched a prayer and worship watch for the Celebration. You can sign up for an hour or more, where ever you are in the world, then as we come together we will be one in heart and spirit. We will attempt to give updates for prayer each week on the web.
Finance
After much encouragement last month, there has been a drying up of provision this month. We still stand at about £27 000, including a £3000 grant. We now estimate that we will need around £60 000. Stand with us in prayer, (not anxiety) for this well to open! The Lord has commissioned this Celebration, he has a way of paying for it.
Tents
We now have 4 large marquees for the camp site. They will sleep over 300 people. Praise God! There are a myriad of challenges to get things organised for the Celebration. Please pray, and be prepared to be very adaptable!
Prayer Week
We will meet to pray and worship each evening of 2nd - 9th June. Our aim is to be in a different church in Llanelli each evening, to enable as many as possible to catch the vision. So far:

+ Sunday 3rd Church of Wales Parish Church 6pm
+ Monday 4th Hall Street Methodist Church 7pm (N.B. This will replace the normal monthly meeting at Moriah, Loughor).
+ Tuesday 5th Greenfield Baptist Church 7.30pm
+ Wednesday 6th tbc
+ Thursday 7th Llanelli Presbyterian Church 7.30 (We will also meet with World Horizons at North Dock 9am-1pm).
+ Friday 8th Praise in the Park. Open Air Celebration on Penyfan Estate Llanelli. 7 pm
+ Saturday 9th Town Centre 11am
Tuesday – Wednesday of that week is also when 'Again 1907' are planning to gather up to 10 000 young people to pray and worship on the border of North Korea.
If you are anywhere in the area (Wales or Korea), please join us for as many meetings as you can.
Word of mouth is the best advertisement
Help us make the Celebration known to those that the Lord may be calling to be a part of it. Pray over friends and family, colleagues and contacts. Act on any impulse the Holy Spirit brings.
Visas
We have eight confirmed bookings from Mizoram (Northern India). You may remember there were originally ten. Two have had to drop out because of lack of finance. The eight will go soon to Calcutta to apply for their visas. Please pray for success. David Nam (Korean), who wants to come and help prepare the Celebration is still awaiting news of his second attempt at a volunteer visa.
Please pray too for the release of finance and holiday time for the many Koreans who want to join us.
Apostolic Convention
The Apostolic yearly convention is happening July 28th - 2nd August in Swansea, just along the coast from us involving 3-4000 people. Neither us, nor the leaders of the convention feel it is an accident that we meet at the same time so near to each other. Pray with us to understand how we can bless each other and co-operate together. The Apostolic Church is now in over 40 nations and was a direct result of the Welsh Revival.
Remain in his love, he will bring the breakout!
