Celebration for the Nations Update March/April 2013
The Lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:8).
In Celebration for the Nations we have been speaking for some time about the shout of the King among us; the teruwah in Hebrew, meaning a cry or a trumpet blast of battle and of joy (Numbers 23:21). During the Celebration in Korea I began to sense the Lion of Judah roaring. When a Lion roars it is to claim his territory and warn off his enemies.
When our King shouts, it is the roar of the Lion of Judah! We have just finished the first weekend of two Spring Celebrations in Wales; this time in Swansea and Cardiff. We did not have large numbers, but in both meetings we sensed the roar of the Lion of Judah! In the Cardiff meeting a small group came who had been attending a day of prayer for Wales. This meeting was completely unrelated to Celebration, yet they came with this message:
The central picture; from vision given to ***, was of the Lion of Judah with His massive paw on flag of Wales. He is roaring over Wales, "you are mine!" Amos 3;8.
They also said:
There is a tide turning, a flood of the Holy Spirit. Unity releases the flood.
The Lord is confirming His testimony in the mouths of His witnesses! Praise Him for the great encouragement. As a team here, though we are often hard pressed, we sense the great Lion of Judah, who is at the same time the Lamb of God, telling us what He told Joshua (a lesser lion of Judah),
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them (Joshua 1:6).
We too are called to be like the Lion and the Lamb.
In effect what the Lord told Joshua when he needed to know how to cross the Jordan was;
Carry my Presence (the Ark) and stand firm (See Joshua 3:17).
When they needed to defeat Jericho the Lord told him;
Carry My Presence (the Ark) and shout! (See Joshua 6:16).
As we Celebrators carry the Presence of our Great King, Jesus, we too must stand firm, even in the midst of the floods and impossibilities of life. We must listen for His roar, and at the right time shout and see the walls of resistance come tumbling down. Amos declared The Lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord has spoken; who can but prophesy? The root of the word to prophesy means to bubble up in words or song. Let’s speak out and sing out for our great King. Spring up O well!
Worship Teams
Please continue to pray with us for the worship teams who are planning to come. Many need a real financial miracle, including the amazing One Voice team from Korea and our new Aboriginal friends from Australia and a worship leader from Israel. Others also need visa miracles as well as financial ones. Our friends from Mizoram and the Khasi Hills in India for example.
Pastor Sanga Miller who plans to bring a team from NE India has one more very serious barrier. He was falsely accused of something and was arrested . He was put in the hospital lock-up for a while. He is presently out on bail, but the trial needs to happen very soon, and he needs to be acquitted. Praise God that we are hearing wonderful things about the people he led to the Lord while he was in confinement. He is also allowed back to preach in the hospital lock-up, and last week saw nine more men, some from Muslim backgrounds, give their hearts to Jesus! As Joseph realized thousands of years ago, so it is Pastor Sanga’s experience:
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives (Genesis 50:20).
Pastor Sanga has just told us that the senior lawyer representing him has just been promoted to a judge. This means he has to find a new lawyer. Please pray for the Lord’s leading.
Celebration for the Nations Korea
We had four days of powerful worship in Seoul in February. It was a special time of exalting our King Jesus! I think all who were there will testify to the joy and liberty we had as we praised and worshipped the Lord. Our prayer is that true worship will multiply in our generation, until we see all the nations worshipping the Lamb as He deserves.
Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy....For God is the King of all the earth (Psalm 47).
Worshippers yet to come
Please pray with us for the people of the UK and especially Wales to catch the vision in this final Celebration for the Nations in Wales. We would also like to see worshippers coming from the USA, especially African Americans, as the Asuza Street revival of 1906 was led by an African American, William J Seymour. If anyone has any contacts do please get in touch.
Karel and the Nantes (France) worship team
Karel writes saying they would love to be with us, but are unable because....
Here in Nantes (Northwest France) as well as all over France we are already over busy! I believe that we really see the fruit of CFTN not only in our ministry but also in the nations!
I give glory to God for what you are doing, for it is so vital in His heart and so strategic! With no doubt we will be with you in thoughts and most of all in prayers, giving glory to God in advance for His goodness which He longs to pour on His hungry people.
Stop Press: We have just heard that Fabienne Pons (who was going to come to the 2007 Celebration, but was prevented due to illness) is able to come from France with a team, France en Feu (France on Fire). Praise the Lord!
Admin update
Praise God that Hyo Ju has come from Korea and joined the Admin team bringing much needed help. Please pray for the online registration to be up and running very quickly and that it will work smoothly allowing you all to book your accommodation and other activities. Thank God for Vas and Simeon who have freely given us their expert help. Would you pray a special protection over the team and their families: Momin, Jeemin, Christiane, Nicola, Hyo Ju, Daniel and Kirsty. Many people have come forward to help, and then had to drop out due to illness or family crisis. There is still so much to do, but God is for us!
Finances
Praise the Lord that we have seen around £40,000 come in for this year’s Celebration for the Nations. May the Lord bless and reward each of you who have given, no matter how small the gift. He knows the cost and the love that has gone in to every gift, and He receives it as sweet perfume.
We still need to see about another £100,000, (that is trusting that the accommodation we are setting up will pay for itself and we will not have extra costs with that). Much of this we will need before the Celebration starts, as many companies that we are dealing with understandably insist on being paid in advance. We want to deal righteously and have a good testimony with all these companies. Please continue to stand with us in prayer and in giving. Ask the Lord for creative ways that you can raise money. If you are able to make a commitment to give monthly until the Celebration that would be wonderful. We will put bank details at the end of this letter, or you can give online through Pay Pal. The Lion is roaring! He will have His way!
