Celebration for the Nations Update
June 2013

Just a few weeks to go now until we will all be together worshipping our wonderful Saviour Jesus in our own Tabernacle. So much has been happening here and we are grateful for a wonderful team of volunteers working so hard on every aspect of the preparation. Thank you, Christiane, Momin, Jeemin, Hyo Ju, Daniel, Kirsty, Nicola, Luke, Natalie not forgetting Misook and Daouwn and others in Revival Korea, and many more.

I want my body back!
As we pray and prepare for this final Celebration in Wales we have begun to sense a spirit of repentance coming on us. We as God’s people are the body of Christ. We are crying out for Him to move, but we are His hands and His feet. He has committed Himself to move through us. In some ways the church in Wales is like the vision Ezekiel saw of the valley of dry bones. Though there are areas of great life, we can be disconnected and sometimes quite lifeless. The Lord is raising up those who will dare to prophesy over the bones and call to the four winds to come and breath on these slain....

Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live (Ezekiel 37:9).

I believe that is what Celebration is about; gathering from the four winds (North, South, East and West) to bring life again to a largely sleeping Church. I believe that the Lord wants to raise us up again as a victorious army of worshipper warriors. I believe that He will also do that over the dry bones in Korea (especially the North) and in Europe. Yet there is a preparation, a humbling that He is bringing on us.

I know the Holy Spirit is convicting me in several areas at the moment. I want to share them with you, as you too may identify with what He is saying to me. As I have spoken with the team here we sense that the Lord is calling us into a time of fasting and repentance to prepare for this Celebration, and we would like to invite you to join us specifically three days, Wednesday - Friday 19-21 June.

Blow the trumpet in Zion; consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly (Joel 2:15).

The Llanelli Celebration team will end this time with a fund raising event we are running in a local church called Cake and Worship, so we plan to break our fast the evening of Friday 21st June. We know that these dates may not suit everyone, so please be free to join what you can or set aside your own time.

Questions to help lead us to repentance

  • Am I living fully in the salvation Jesus has won for me, spirit, soul and body. Am I entirely healthy in all those areas?
  • Is this my standard? Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves (Philippians 2:3). Am I doing all I can to promote the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace?
  • I received God’s dynamis power when I was baptised in the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). Am I displaying that power in my walk with the Lord?
  • Dynamis: strength, power, ability mighty works, power for performing miracles, moral power and excellence of soul, influence, force. Are others suffering around me because I am not standing into the authority I have been given?
  • Is my body offered as a living sacrifice so that I can worship the Father in spirit and truth (Romans 12:1).
  • What kind of witness am I? The root word for witness is martyr.

I know these are strong and uncomfortable questions, but I cannot move away from them at the moment. In my heart I keep hearing the Lord saying I want my body back! He has paid the extreme price for us to be His body on earth, filled with His Spirit, displaying His fullness of LIFE. It is what the world is waiting to see. We call it REVIVAL! So let us keep that joy before us, as we allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts.

As we do this we can take a position of repentance for our nations too; just as Nehemiah, Daniel, the Apostle Paul and of course our Lord Jesus did. Ultimately the church in a nation is responsible before the Lord for that nation.

Victory Church Welsh Outpouring
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Victory Church Cwmbran has been going on for over 50 days now. They have seen over 500 make decisions for Jesus and many healed of serious diseases and addictions. We feel our worship intercession over these seven years is linked in some way to what is now happening in Cwmbran. The pastor of this church, Richard Taylor will speak in the Sunday service of Celebration for the Nations on 21st July. He is from Llanelli originally. 1000s for Jesus! And finance update
Praise the Lord for six groups who have committed to praying for souls whilst raising £1000 each towards the cost of Celebration. If you are part of a team that supports Celebration please consider taking on this challenge to raise £1000 whilst praying for souls to be saved. Get in touch and let us know that your group is taking on the challenge!

Praise the Lord for a gift of £5000 which is a tithe of what was still outstanding for the Celebration.

With the commitment of the 1000s for Jesus, if each group is able to fulfil £1000 we only need another £36,000 to cover all the main Celebration Costs! We are still working towards the food and accommodation paying for itself.

Pray with us for this outstanding amount and thank the Lord with us for every single gift that has come in! We know much has been given at great personal cost as people break their jars at Jesus’ feet. Please pray for a release of finances so we can meet all our bills.

Celebration Office Update
There is much that still needs to be done before the Celebration! Please pray that all the final logistics will come together in regards to ongoing registration, booking suppliers (generators, water testing, rubbish removal, catering and the list goes on), recruiting volunteers and etc. We still need a LOT of volunteers in order for Celebration to be possible this year. If you know of anyone or you personally feel the burden to worship the Lord through practical service, please sign up!

Also, as the administrative team, please pray that we will not be overwhelmed by all the work and busyness. Instead may all that we do be a joyful expression of worship to the Lord! We want to continually live out the spirit of Celebration as we stand in faith of all that God has already prepared for this year’s Celebration. Also, please pray for good health for each of the team members (Daniel, Kirsty, Jeemin, Momin, Hyo Ju), especially Jeemin and Hyo Ju who have been facing various illnesses.

Aboriginal brothers and sisters
Sadly we have heard that because of a lack of finance the Aboriginal worship team will not be able to join us.

Visas
Please pray for visas and finance for all who need them to come. Particularly remember our brothers and sisters from India.

Central African Republic (CAR)
Just before Easter there was a coup in the CAR. We are closely linked with a work there and have been getting almost daily reports of suffering and atrocities that the Muslim victors are inflicting on the Christian communities, and especially the leaders. This largely Christian country has overnight become a Muslim-led land. Rape of young Christian girls is common place. Thousands have lost their homes and are fleeing into the Rain Forest. In the midst of all this, Christian leaders are standing and preaching forgiveness and reconciliation. Their cry is, no matter what it costs, Central Africa for Christ!

Leading up to Pentecost many Christians fasted and repented as they felt the Lord was judging the sins of the Church. Our friend and mission leader was asked to address a gathering of Christian leaders on the tenth and final day of the fast.

We are called to be witnesses: to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and also to suffer for his name. We are writing a new history of Central African Christianity. Even if it is in our blood, let us write it. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church of Christ (Mt 16:18). On the strength of that promise, we can cry ‘’WITH JESUS WE SHALL OVERCOME!

Will it take persecution for us to have the same zeal? May the Lord strengthen and guide them, and may He stir us to repent and pray for our nation and the nations.

Spring up O well!

With love and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ,

Gail on behalf of the Celebration Team
