Celebration for the Nations 2010 Report
'Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!' (Psalm 66:1-2).
This is what we did! Thank you to all those who came - I believe that we delighted the Lord's heart! It was wonderful to meet with around 400 Believers; many were from Korea (some even from North Korea, others who were Korean Americans), some from France, others from Wales and many parts of the UK. We also had a few from places like Eritrea, Mizoram (N. India) and even Israel.
We came together in the little town of Llanelli South Wales, with one objective: to glorify the name of the Lord. He has told us that as we praise him, he will again unblock the wells of living water in Wales and the Nations.
This was our fourth year of seven for Celebration for the Nations. The emphasis the Lord gave many of us as we prepared, was to do with holiness, holy ground, consecration, etc. Many prayed and fasted before the time, and right from the beginning we felt that we were coming onto prepared ground. Several times a call came in the meetings just to leave everything and simply follow Jesus.
Many made decisions to follow him no matter what the cost. Lives were turned around as we worshipped him. If you participated you are welcome to send in testimonies; we will post some on the website. One man told us that the Lord revived his life and delivered him from long-term alcohol abuse while he worshipped. He has now been free for well over a month. He had only managed to stop drinking for a few days at a time prior to that. Another man who came into the Celebration, after accepting the Lord in one of the Open Airs, was dancing and laughing with the joy that the Lord gave him.
It was beautiful to have worship teams from Wales, Korea, America, Israel, France, Ireland and England. Psalm 133 recurred again and again as people prayed. We felt the Lord's anointing flowing as we joined from the nations to worship him.
Welsh School of Worship
One of the new worship teams this year was Cath Woolridge and her team from Cardiff. During her second session, which included a song and poem/rap with her husband Dai, Gareth had a strong prophetic word for them . The prophetic word was that they would start a "School of worship” in Wales, with a Welsh flavour (including poetry and other performing arts) to take the song around Wales and beyond. They would have many children/disciples who would be raised up trained and sent to carry the revival song to the four corners of Wales and beyond.
Gareth and the Cardiff team are meeting up to discuss how this can become a reality. So watch this space!
Love Muslims
There was a special moment, when, having heard worship in Dari (the language of Afghanistan) and then prayed for Muslims, a member of the French worship team repented on behalf of his nation for what they had done during their colonisation of parts of Muslim North and West Africa.
While the Celebration was still going on, we heard about the attack on the Christian compassion workers in Afghanistan, and the death of 10 of them. The man who sang in Dari knew some of them personally.
In 2007, a church group of Korean young people were kidnapped in Afghanistan when the Celebration was going on, and two of the leaders were martyred. It seems somehow the Lord is linking us with this nation and asking us to see the living water spring up in these Islamic desert lands.
During the Celebration the Lord confirmed to a Middle Eastern Christian brother a vision that he has been carrying for many years, that he should start a Middle Eastern mission training base in Wales, based with the Nations team.
Worshipper Warriors
There is a sense that an army of worshipper warriors is beginning to rise together and move forward in God's purposes. Strength is coming to strength. Some encouragements are:
- Leadership from Mizoram are planning a 40-day fast for the UK. It was Welsh missionaries who brought the gospel to them, and the Welsh Revival broke out in Mizoram and the Khasi Hills in 1905. They say that they have no worldly riches to bring to the UK, but they can bring their fasting and prayer. One of the leaders was with us in this year's Celebration, and they are now thinking of re-arranging their time so that it overlaps with Celebration for the Nations 2011.
- We now have an US hub for the Celebration with Grace Chang from New Jersey, based in Pastor Seong's Church, Gospel Fellowship. ( Grace's email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
- Someone who helped establish the Korean worship school in YWAM has offered to spread the vision to YWAM.
- Another person has offered to make Celebration known through a large mailing list of Christians who pray for Israel in Europe.
- We continue in fellowship with the London Global Day of Prayer in their 500 days of prayer for revival in the UK, launched at our London Celebration on August 1st. Our day is 12th of each month. We have committed to cover this day each month for 24 hours until December 2011. If you have signed up for a slot please remember to keep it. If you would like to sign up (we are running several watches in different parts of the world) please email us.
Celebration London
It was again special this year to have a weekend of Celebration in London including a moving concert from Revival Korea especially focusing on raising awareness and prayer for North Korea (still the hardest place on earth for a believer to live).
Our International Celebration at the Emmanuel Centre, linked with the London Global Day of Prayer, lifted our faith. Hundreds of us stood and dedicated ourselves not to stop praying until we see revival again in the UK and beyond.

So many lives were touched on these evangelistic placements following our week of worship. We sent teams to:

So, let's keep worshipping the Lord, not holding back our love for him. Let's worship with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Shoulder to shoulder we will stand as warriors of the Lamb, with the weapons of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. This is the living water that will satisfy a thirsty needy world!
Yours in His Kingdom,
Gail
