Celebration for the Nations
Update November 09

Taking back the Land
In the last update I wrote about the significance of 2010 being our fourth year out of seven for the Celebration for the Nations. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob built 7 altars to cleanse the land spiritually from the evil that had been done in it. We looked particularly at Abraham's fourth altar in the last update, which speaks so clearly of the Cross.

Joshua also built seven altars and memorials when he took the Promised Land physically. The fourth altar (Joshua 8:30-35) again was the most significant. Moses spoke to Joshua about this fourth altar even before they entered the land. He told him that he was to build an altar from the stones of the field, (Deuteronomy 27:6). It is so beautiful that the Lord does not ask us to be rich, or beautiful or clever, to worship and serve him, but he uses ordinary people (field stones).

Moses told Joshua that he was not to use any iron tool on the stones, but to build with them as they were, and then to coat them with plaster and write the word of God on them. The whole nation was then to stand and recommit themselves to the Lord and his word. We do not have a right to shape each other, but only to let the word of God cover and shape us.

Abraham's fourth altar speaks of the Cross, and Joshua's of unity and God's word. All are so necessary to take back our nations for Christ.

God has told us to sing to the well, and that he will again bring rivers of living water into our communities. Let's glory in the Cross of Christ and his Word, and pray that the Lord would draw more and more people into their part of the intercession for the outpouring of his Spirit, whether it is with Celebration for the Nations or some other movement.

You will read below of an exciting initiative which I believe will help bring fellowship and unity with more Welsh churches; the Celebration Mobile Team.

Celebration Mobile Team
Pastor Suk Kwang Jung has been based with us in Llanelli, Wales, for the last six months, praying and preparing for the next stage of the Celebration. He has recently returned to Korea to find up to 12 people who are committed to the Celebration vision and who want to worship, pray and train together. From the beginning of March until the Celebration, they will be working alongside Welsh churches, learning and serving in whatever way they can. They want to bring a song of hope again to Wales.

The team will receive training in the Nations International Centre, and will travel to different churches and groups in Wales when they are invited.

We are really excited about Suk Kwang's vision, as we feel that the Holy Spirit is longing to link Wales and Korea more and more. If you are in Wales, and your church would like a visit from the Celebration Mobile Team, please get in touch.

Please pray for Suk Kwang, that he would find the people whom the Lord has chosen for this team.

Momin
The Lord has answered our prayers for a bilingual administrator for the Celebration who can be based with us in Wales! Momin Kim is currently in Vancouver, Canada, but has agreed to come at the beginning of February to work with the Celebration team.
Please pray for Galilee Church in Vancouver, that they will find a wonderful replacement for Momin, to work with the youth. Pray also for Momin as she prepares to move countries. She is a 'Mish kid' but it is never easy to uproot and start new things. Pray also for her visa and her finances.

Postcards
We are currently seeking the Lord for the theme and design of the postcards for the coming year. We would like to see them printed and beginning to be distributed before Christmas.

Ireland
Some people in Ireland have expressed an interest in an Irish Celebration. A small team of us hope to go across sometime and make connections and look at the possibilities of having something following on from the time in Wales.

Turkey
We also have an invitation to take a worshipping, praying Celebration Team to Turkey this year. Ask with us for wisdom to know how best to grasp these God given opportunities.

With you to see God's kingdom come!
Let's take courage and keep worshipping Jesus whatever is happening,

Gail
for the Celebration Team.
