Celebration Update May '09

The Lord is restoring David's fallen tent in these Last Days.
When the Word became flesh, John tells us that he 'tabernacled', or made his dwelling tent among us, (John 1:14). I believe that this was the beginning of the Lord restoring David's fallen tent. The early disciples saw his glory; saw his grace and truth displayed through his love-filled life. They came into the shelter of his 'tent' and 'tabernacled' with him. When Jesus died and rose again, he sent the Holy Spirit so that his Word could become flesh in all who believe. The tabernacle began to grow as more and more people entered into his Presence by faith.

When we believed, the Word became flesh in us. He uses our hands, our feet, our voices, our heart, our strength to express his Word and to extend his kingdom. His longing to restore David's fallen tent of worship and prayer in his Presence is so that 'the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles (nations) that bear my name' (Acts 15:17).

John, that same apostle who speaks of the initial restoration, gives us the final revelation of restoration; this is our hope and longing;

'Now is the dwelling (tabernacle) of God with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away' (Revelation 21:3-4).

Celebration for the Nations is a part of what the Holy Spirit is doing in restoring and extending David's fallen tent. As we give ourselves to worship we touch the heart of Jesus. As we feel his heart, our flesh is motivated to express his love to others.

It was in the Feast of Tabernacles that Jesus spoke of the rivers of living water that would flow from the heart of those who believe. In his 'tent', his presence, these waters flow. Let's live in the tent, and extend the borders of our tent so that those around us are free to come and drink.

Gail coming to Korea May 25th - June 2nd
Gail will visit Korea and work alongside Revival Korea to meet with those who are already coming to the Celebration, and encourage others to consider joining us in this exciting vision. Please pray for the line up that Hyung Won and team are doing at the moment, and for the actual time. Contact Revival Korea if you are in Korea to find out meeting schedules. There will be a Celebration meeting on Monday 25th May in Seoul. Jesus tells us in John 4:23 that the Father is actively seeking true worshippers. Let's satisfy his heart!

Welsh Churches
Please continue to pray for Welsh churches to be involved with the Celebration. Some leaders are really behind the vision, but they are busy people, and it is a struggle for them to find the time to work alongside us. Praise God for interest from Bridgend churches.

Berlin
Log on to the Celebration website www.celebrationforthenations.org to hear Christian Stockmann's testimony of how one of the Celebration '08 teams helped launch a work among Turks in Berlin.

DVD's
English versions of the DVDs are now ready. Apologies for those who have asked for them and haven't received them yet. We will do our best to get them to you soon. We are still lacking help with administration! Praise the Lord for Jungu from London, who gave his skill, though he was very busy, to get these made. Please pray that the DVDs would be seen in many churches, youth groups etc, so that worshipper warriors would be called into the Celebration.

Egypt
As I write this, I am in Egypt. One of the ministries that we are connected with has been knowing a gentle move of the Holy Spirit since last May. The Lord is calling them deeper into worship. He is leading them to the Throne Room of God. They give hours on Saturday each week simply for worship and testimony. The Lord is doing some amazing healings among them. From that meeting two 16 year-old girls went out onto the street to pray with people, and met a lady with a serious illness. The Lord instantly healed her. The next Saturday she was in the meeting giving her testimony and receiving the Lord as her Saviour!

Lord, purify our hearts. Show us if there is anything that hinders your Holy Spirit in working through us. We want to worship you before your Throne, in the Holy of Holies.

May you all taste, continually the joy in His Presence, even in the midst of the battle to make Him known.
